PPKAS marching...

Last semester about all PPKAS first year student were involves in marching for closing ceremony for athletics competition. With the short and limited time, at last we finished our brilliant job with very spectacular effort. Congratulations to all that involves in hopely next year our school will gain more medals and award for UniMAP athletics.

Engineering Invention & Innovation Exhibition (ENVEX) 2010

Development of a country based on the development and advancement of knowledge of its people, and was able to achieve with the development, exploration and advancement of knowledge through research. For this reason, the Department of Student Affairs & Alumni UniMAP in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education to take proactive measures the second was organized programs based on research and innovation to students-students. This program also involves the participation of students from Malaysia Technical University Network-MTUN and Indonesia, Malaysia & Thailand Grow Triangle-IMTGT.

The objective of this competition is to provide early exposure and encourage students to engage in research and innovation. It also to train students to improve skills in communicating with current information in the research.Back to respond to MOHE about to the increasing awareness citizens about the importance of universities to focus research and development in the field.
For this ENVEX, 12 group from School of Environmental Engineering take part in this competition. Overall we are in 5th places with one silver medal and 9 bronze medal. Other than that this school had won the best booth award that bringing back RM300.Congratulation to all student and lecturer that had involves and giving lot of commitment.Hopely more quality product will created and bring forward the brilliant idea in front.

Officially we stand united with 39 members of UniMAP building engineering 2009/2010. 2 indian, 8 chinese, 1 foreigner, and the rest are Malay were totally built up this class. Seen that we are in our path to be in second year for this opening semester. After the result we just been announce, everybody with high of spirit to make sure there cover and prepare themselves with possible skills and ideas to make a drastic improvement. What is building engineering???

Architectural engineering, also known as Building engineering, is the application of engineering principles and technology to building design and construction. Definitions of an architectural engineer may refer to:

• An engineer in the structural, mechanical, electrical, construction or other engineering fields of building design and construction.
• A licensed engineering professional in parts of the United States, where architectural engineering may include complete building design.^{[citation needed]}
• In informal contexts, and formally in some places, a professional synonymous with or similar to an architect. In some languages, "architect" is literally translated as "architectural engineer".

Engineering for buildings

Structural engineering involves the analysis and design of physical objects such as buildings, bridges, equipment supports, towers and walls. Those concentrating on buildings are responsible for the structural performance of a large part of the built environment and are, sometimes, informally referred to as "building engineers". Structural engineers require expertise in strength of materials and in the seismic design of structures covered by earthquake engineering. Architectural Engineers sometimes practice structural as one aspect of their designs; the structural discipline when practiced as a specialty works closely with architects and other engineering specialists.
